A Production and Marketing report from Kristin Looney, Business Czar for Looney Labs
It's been ten months since my last published report on things from the Kristin perspective ? that being our Wunderland Weekly News report from Feb 9th, 2006, when we announced how Treehouse was changing the Icehouse Game System. It's time for an update from Kristin, and instead of taking over Andy's report again, we've decided to move this over to LooneyLabs.com, as a regular retailer update. Here's a list of highlights I'd like to cover this month:

We launched Treehouse under a giant 32 foot tie-dyed tree at GTS in March, and we gave away Trees at the conventions all summer to promote it. It is very clear that we have another hit on our hands. It clicks so easily for just about everyone we show it to. To quote Steve Ellis from Rules of Engagement Games in NC, "My wife demo'd it to me the day after she got back and we had three people IN LINE to try a demo before we finished our first game. I love the game, it's colorful, eye-catching, easy to play and demo and inexpensive. We sold through our initial order within days of getting it on the counter."
And now we have a fun new expansion for the Treehouse set - just released a few weeks ago - Martian Coasters - our new Beverage Coaster Board Game. Check out the press release and the new product page. Please do not confuse this with the coaster game we published about six years ago, called Cosmic Coasters. Be sure you check out our trade in offer if you have any unsold copies of Cosmic Coasters left in your store - we would love to trade them in on our brand new coaster game.
Thousands of our fans are going to be looking for Treehouse and Martian Coasters over the next few weeks... because we just mailed them our holiday greeting card, with a special gift that promotes sales of both Treehouse and Martian Coasters. And the mailing specifically asks our fans to visit Roster.LooneyLabs.Com to find a store near them that sells our games. So please be sure you have both of these games stocked in your store! (NOTE: Our
Retailer Holiday Specials have been extended - you get $36 in extra profit when you buy either our Crazy Good Martian Coaster Special or our POP Display with extras. Both specials are still good until Dec 31st - call us or your favorite distributor and order today!)
And don't forget our other brand new release... Fluxx Espaņol is a fantastic teaching tool that makes learning Spanish fun. So even if you don't have a lot of hispanic customers in your store, remember all those kids who are learning Spanish in school - and pitch Spanish Fluxx as the perfect gift their parents can get for them for the holidays! One last thing... I want to be sure our retailers know about our promo cards. We have been making and giving away promo cards for our games at conventions for years, and they are very popular with our fans. Earlier this year, we organized all our old promo cards and have made them available to our fans through our online store. Most of them are only 50 cents each, some $1 or $2, depending on how few of them we have left. All the cards we have in quantity are also available in 25 packs for $6.50, or only 25 cents each - so you can get them in and give them out, or sell them for $1 each in your store. Last years Holiday Gift is also still available (complete with greeting card) for $1 - or each of those great holiday promo cards are also available on the list of 25 packs.
If you are a Retailer Rabbit, you can get these cards for free using your rabbit points! This years holiday gift will also be available soon for $1 or 1 rabbit point - after your copy shows up in the mail, if you want to get more to hand out in your store, you can order more from us online.
