Looney Labs Sales Partner Program
Looney Labs is starting to sign up independent manufacturer reps!
Our wonderful distributors still sell our games, with no changes in discounts. We expect most of the hobby games stores who sell our games will keep buying them from their favorite distributors. But for toy stores, and gift stores, and any stores who don't buy from this distribution network... the only change to our terms for buying from us direct (besides the fact that we might now/soon have an external sales rep in the field who could visit your store) is an increase in our minimum order for free freight to $200, and an addition of a 10% Advertising Allowance option. update April 2007 ---> we have actually only signed up 2 reps so far...
At first, we thought we would be signing up a sales rep groups in each of the various geographical territories. But we are finding, that first and foremost we need to partner with reps who really KNOW and LOVE our games - which is hard to find in busy rep groups who already represent lots of different lines of products. Also, it is clear that traditional gift reps are not a good fit for us. Our games could fit in very well in specialty toy stores, but not as much in your basic gift shop - so toy reps are a much better fit than gift reps.
All that said - we ARE looking for sales reps who love games and want to try to bring them to new markets that have not previously been selling them. We want these new sales partners to focus first and foremost on our hit card game, Fluxx. To this end, we have a new ad flyer for Fluxx which pitches the four different versions and offers advice to help a store pick which one (or ones) are right for their store.
