Zarf stumbled into Looney fandom in 1989, by nearly stepping on pyramids on the lobby floor at EveCon. He played Icehouse but never got very good at it, until other pyramid games came along, at which point he switched to Zarcana.
He shows up at Looney Labs events and helps out, to greater or lesser effect.
In real life -- well, in more realistic life, Zarf programs, reads, messes around with interactive fiction, cooks, and plays games in several directions.
