I'm a freelance Small Business Consultant living in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. I have been an avid game player all my life and even tried my hand at some Game Design. While researching Game Design theory on the web, I stumbled upon the Looney Labs site and fell in love with their games, especially the Icehouse pyramids.
My favourite tabletop games (until recently) are, among others, Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire, Roborally, Magic, Chess and Backgammon. But now, I also plan on playing many games of Fluxx and utilising the Icehouse pieces. I even plan on coming up with my own Icehouse games, but only after I have exhausted the many games already available for the pieces.
What I like about what I have seen of the Looney Labs stuff is its simplicity. Some of the most popular games in many formats have been the simplest in concept.
My most addictive computer game: TETRIS;
Considered one of the most strategic tabletop game: GO;
My funnest childhood toy: LEGO; etc.
All they need is just a little bit more exposure and the world will catch on to the Looney Labs phenomenon. |
