I am a demo rabbit and retail rabbit with Game Parlor in Chantilly, VA. Before I sold games, I was introduced to Fluxx at a party with my regular gaming group. I found a local game store and bought my first copy. A couple of years later, I went to work for that store where I started selling games on the sales floor part time. I would sell betwixt two and three displays of Fluxx a week (that's 12-18 decks.) More recently, I became the buyer for the store and I made sure we never ran out of Looney Labs supplies. At work, I teach how to play different Loony Labs games from
Aquarius to Volcano. If you walk into the store, in the first display you will find our demo box of Zendo fronted with koans. When Zendo was published, I arranged a game day with Kory Heath and Jacob Davenport to come down and teach the game. Then I held a tournament and gave out T-shirts.
I was born and raised in suburban Atlanta. I studied engineering and mathematics at Georgia Tech before moving to the Washington D.C. metro area. Most of my time not working and playing is spent listening to music or watching movies, converting and painting miniatures, supporting local restaurants and used book shops, alternatively tearing apart or repairing my 1972 Volkswagen Beetle, and sometimes getting ridiculously small amounts of sleep. My wife and I are in the RPGA and travel to play at mid-east coast conventions. Support your local game stores: buy there, play there! |
